Aside from the odd escapade with Asa and Yoru here and there, he's largely kept to the island of his hellish residence, where the deal was that Iva's people would hound him nonstop until he won the challenge. Sanji slept well the night before this visit; however, he's accumulated a massive sleep debt over the course of many months, having startled awake at the slightest noise and oftentimes gone without shut-eye for days.
All that to say, his eyes begin to well up. Even his nose starts to run when he ducks his head, startled by the sensation.]
